Susan "Susie" K. Bohm

On Monday, December 12th, our beloved Susan Kay (Zimmerman) Bohm passed away peacefully into God’s grace after enduring long term illness. Her loving and faithful husband Michael of 52 years was, as always, by her side. She was 74 years old.

Susan is survived by her husband Michael Bohm, their daughter Jennifer Consigny, son-in- law John Consigny, their children Paige and Carson, and Susan’s brother Mark Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her father Ray Zimmerman and mother Frieda (Steipp) Zimmerman.

Susie was born on May 19, 1948 in Peoria, IL. She graduated from Hamilton High School, Menomonee Falls, WI in 1966 and went on to attend Carthage College, Kenosha, WI where she graduated in 1973 with a degree in Education. Susie dedicated over 20 years with Lutheran Social Services as a manager of homemaker services, caring for those in need.

Susie married Michael Eugene Bohm in 1970 after first meeting during a blind date. They welcomed their precious daughter Jennifer in 1973. Susie loved traveling the world with her husband Mike, cherished her grandchildren Paige and Carson Consigny, was very active in serving her church, Salem Lutheran Church, and spending time with dear friends creating fond memories.

A visitation and celebration of life for Susie is scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Salem Lutheran Church, 1700 W War Memorial Drive, Peoria, IL 61614 (309) 688-9212. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM with celebration of life service beginning at 11:00. Lunch to follow for family and friends in the service hall.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
