She was born June 1, 1955 in Gardner, Kansas to Robert and Mary Ellen (Thurman) Hougland, Sr. She married Stephen Honold on March 6, 2011, in Kauai, HI. He survives along with one brother, Bradford (Lynn) Hougland, two children: Christopher (Amy) Peck, Crystal (Andrew) Honold, and six grandchildren: Emma Peck, Riley Peck, Samuel Peck, Adel Honold, Grace Honold, and Austin Honold.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Robert Hougland, Jr.
Susan graduated from Peoria Central High School in 1972. She was a former member of the Brimfield Union Church and the Peoria Motorcycle Club Auxiliary.
She was very creative and worked with children at the Brimfield Library from 1993 through 1999. She also worked as a Florist at the Sterling Flower Shoppe in Peoria from 2000 until retiring in 2014.
She enjoyed vacation travel and working on home remodeling projects with her husband.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 22, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 am until 11 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
