Sybil Suzanne Penman

Suzanne was born on July 26, 1940, to the late Harlan and Marie (Guild) Heavrin in Hecla, SD. She later married Richard Penman on July 4, 1959. They spent many years together until his passing on January 6, 1995.

Suzanne was devoted to spreading the word of God. She was a devout Christian and knew she was saved through her beliefs. She was also a very independent person who was organized and took care of what needed to be done. She was a self-proclaimed loner, oftentimes being fine with being on her own. She also loved to play bingo.

She is survived by her children, Monica Penman and Lonnie (Malinda) Penman; her grandchildren, Connor Penman and Scott Penman; her great granddaughter, Janelle Cox; and seven nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her parents; her husband, Richard; her grandson, Jesse Cox; her brothers, Alyn Guild and Kayton G. (Kay) Heavrin; her sister, LuAl M. (Buddy) Berry; her foster sister, Goldie Duckworth; and one niece.

A Graveside service for Suzanne will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria, IL at 2:00 p.m.
