He was born Nov. 1, 1948 in Peoria to Maynard and Shirley (Anderson) Goodhart. He married Joyce Walton in 1978 who preceded him in death in 2004. He later married Robyn Williams on May 31, 2008 in Joliet. She survives along with his three children: Gary (Toni) Goodhart of Hopewell, IL, Tina (Wayne) Rolwes of Wentzville, MO, and Buffy (Brian) Hoskins of Utica, IL. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: Derek, Zach, Hunter, Joshua, Alyssa, Jacob, Bryanna, Bridgit, Lucas, Kaitlyn, eight great-grandchildren, one mother-in-law, Helen of Osh Kosh, WI, one brother-in-law John (Sue) of Osh Kosh, WI, sister-in-law, Diane Clemens of Grafton, WI, multiple nieces and nephews and one cousin, Paula Templeton of Peoria. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Walton, two brothers, Larry and Gary Goodhart, and one sister, Susan Thompson.
Terry was an Electrical Engineer retiring after 42 years with Caterpillar. He taught electronics part-time at ICC and was working for ATS at the time of his death.
He was a former board member for the town of Creve Coeur, member of the IEEE, and member of the ground and building committee of Carillon. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, model ship building, collecting coins, stamps, playing chess and spending time with family.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10 a.m. – 12 pm at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria followed by a private funeral service for family and close friends. The funeral service will be available live stream via Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel Facebook page. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate, or Tazewell Animal Protective Society. The family would like to thank the medical staff on 4W at Amita St. Joseph’s.
