Theodore H. Gudat

Ted was born in Peoria, on January 20, 1938, the son of Ferdinand and Helen Scholl Gudat. He married JoAnne Martinez on October 15, 1960 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on August 1, 2007 in Peoria.

He was survived by his children, Tammy (Mike) Shelton of Dunlap, Dave (Beth) Gudat of Edwards, and Gregory (Jane) Gudat of Brimfield; seven grandchildren, Alex and Danny Shelton of Dunlap, Samantha and Abby Gudat of Edward, Kayla of Hanna City, Nicki of Peoria, and Tyler Gudat of Brimfield; one brother, Donald (Bonnie) Gudat of Bartonville; and one sister Charlene.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents

He was a Fire Fighter for the City of Peoria until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of Kickapoo Sportsman Club.

Ted was an avid Cardinal and Chicago Bears fan. He also loved watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00am Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton in Peoria. Pastor Jack Thompson will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4-7:00 pm Tuesday, November 3, 2015 also at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home.

Burial will follow the service in St. Patrick Cemetery in Kickapoo.

Memorial may be made to Vernon “Butch” Gudat Scholarship Fund.
