On August 3, 1963, Tom married the love of his life, Earlene J. Schierer (Haley), with whom he built his family & enjoyed many wonderful years.
Surviving Tom are his three children, Thomas E. Schierer Jr., Timothy J. Schierer, & Tina J. Schierer, as well as five cherished grandchildren, & many dear friends whose lives he touched throughout the years. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey & Lidwina, his wife Earlene, & a sister Bonnie.
Tom will be especially remembered for his love of fishing, cutting firewood, & gathering with family and friends for driveway “happy hours.” His warm spirit, friendship, & enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria, Illinois. There will be no visitation. Funeral rites have been accorded by Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home.
