

He was born on December 12, 1937 in Moline, IL to Everette R. and Amiee (Scott) Hungate. He married Terri Valente on November 15, 2003 in Peoria.
Surviving is his wife Terri of Dunlap, his mother Aimee Hungate of East Moline, five children, Kristie Hungate of Corpus Christi, TX; Elizabeth Hungate of Moberly, MO; William (Phebe) Hungate of Viera, FL; Christopher (Kirsten) Pape of Pueblo, CO; and Michael (Amy) Pape of Savoy, IL, and two grandchildren, Adam and Olivia Hungate of Viera, FL.
Tim graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He was a founding member and Educator at Illinois Central College, and taught there for over 30 years. He served as the Math and Sciences Department Chair for many years until retiring. He also was the manager and co-owner of Mt. Hawley Aviation and a Corporate Pilot for R.L.Nelson. Inc. He returned to teaching and served as an Adjunct Faculty at I.C.C for an additional 10 years.
He was a member of Grace and Peace Lutheran Church, the Amateur Radio Club and a past president of the Peoria Area and State of Illinois Crime Stopper’s Association. Tim enjoyed spending his leisure time flying and spent time on his boat on the river. The family would like to thank Kathy from OSF Hospice the wonderful care she provided to Tim and the Family.
Cremation will be accorded and a visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
