Trach was born on November 8, 1952, in Rach Gia, Vietnam to Duc Pham and Hoa Tran. He was an Army veteran who fought alongside U.S. forces during the Vietnam War. He moved to the U.S. in 1975 with long-time buddy Phuoc “Fu-man” Tran (d. 2017). He worked for Electric Controls Inc. for 40 years before helping with their family nail salon.
Trach loved watching the Chicago Bears, tending to his yard and cars while listening to classic rock, playing with his cat, and spending time with his family. He will be remembered for the best eggrolls ever.
Trach is survived by his wife, Cuc Pham of Peoria, and his children — Tien (Nguyen) Nieves of Brimfield, Terra Pham of Peoria, Binh Hoang of Michigan, Brittany Pham of Peoria, and Gina Pham of California, as well as grandchildren Kim “Ethan,” Jessica, and Harrison. His foster mother/sponsor Mom, Carol Ann (Heuermann) Luecht, preceded him in death (2021).
