She was born on Oct. 16, 1910, in Peoria, Ill. She was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Knoll) Trocker. She married Carthy Moore in Peoria, Ill., and he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1985 in Peoria, Ill. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Bill (Mary) Moore of Canton, Ill; two grandchildren, Greg Moore and Susan Harn; two great-grandchildren, Tiffany Ackerman and John Harn; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive, Riley Ackerman and Chase Ackerman.
Verna was a homemaker and a former member of the United Mennonite Church on Ann St. in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 24, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior the services on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to her church.
