Vernessa was born on April 21, 1969 in Rolling Fork, Mississippi to Johnny Joe Lindsey and Dorothy Rene Brock.
Vernessa is survived by two daughters, Shavanda Lindsey and Dorothy Rene Jones; her two sons, Jarvis Jones and Tremayne King, all of Peoria; seven grandchildren; her mother, Dorothy; three sisters, Florestine Brock, Leslie Brock and April Brock; three brothers, Johnny Lindsey, Jarvis Lindsey, and Bennie Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her father; one sister, Latercia and one brother, Shawn.
Vernessa was a homemaker and she enjoyed reading, listening to music and watching movies.
Services will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Woodland with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Online condolences may be made through www.davison-fulton-woodlandchapel.com
