Virginia A Burns

She was born April 7, 1934 in Pontiac, a daughter of Herschell and Cecelia Downey Stull. She married Richard Joseph Burns Sr. on September 6, 1952. He preceded her in death on April 15, 1987 in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Richard, one daughter, Donna, one grandson, Eddie, and one sister, Eva.

Surviving are three children, Linda (Daniel) Scott of East Peoria, Wanda (Raymond) Grant, and Gregg Burns both of Peoria; one brother; 2 sisters; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Virginia loved bowling and was a former member of numerous leagues, and was a member of St. Philomena Catholic Church in Peoria.

She liked to collect Bettyboop memorabilia.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
