She was born January 30, 1922 in Acton, IN to Elmer and Lucile (Andrews) Volpp. She married Forrest I. Richman on July 11, 1947 in Muncie, IN. He survives.
Also surviving are her children Scott (Sandy) Richman of Peoria, Kathy Richman of Peoria, Barbara (Billy) Carrol of Manito, IL; and two grandchildren Jeff (Cheri) Knight of Madison, WI and Justin (Deidre) Knight of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Linda Delk.
Virginia attended Ball State University. She was also a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at Salem Lutheran Church. Rev. Elise Eklund Rothfusz will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
