Vivian L. Diveley, 81, of Metamora, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital. Born in Pekin, on August 13, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Sarnes and Mary Ann (Siedell) Vineyard. On February 1, 1964, she married Vernie R. "Butch" Diveley in Pekin. He preceded her in death on January 25, 2020.
Surviving her are three children, Valarie (David) Nail, Vikki (David) Steele, and Vincent (Nicole) Diveley; 11 grandchildren, Zachary (Ashley) Diveley, Ryan (Kala) Batalon, Alina (Sal Murillo) Batalon, Kayla (Dylan Gold) Steele, Kayci (Bailey Sergent) Steele, Kaydi (Bryce) Hilst, Brice Diveley, Tanner Diveley, Jaydin Shreves, Dylan Shreves, and Kayden Price; and eight great-grandchildren, Elijah, Harlan, Zara, Kodah, Bodhi, Opal, Salvador, and Salina. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant great-grandson, Kai Tompkins; and a sister, Janet Griffin.
Vivian worked as the receptionist at O'Brien Mitsubishi prior to retirement. She enjoyed traveling, camping and being in the outdoors, and was an avid painter. Above all else, her great-grandchildren, who loving called her "Gigi", brought her great joy.
