

Born on April 15, 1945, in Fairbury, Illinois, Wayne was the beloved child of Ben & Clara Huber.
Throughout his life, Wayne was a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears & never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. When he wasn’t watching the game, Wayne could often be found admiring the craftsmanship of classic Corvettes.
In his later years, he fought an admirable & courageous battle with dementia. Throughout this difficult journey, he demonstrated remarkable strength, dignity, & perseverance, inspiring those around him with his determination & grace.
Wayne is survived by his wife Beverly, one son Tim, two stepsons Greg & Matt, as well as countless friends whose lives were enriched by his presence. He will be remembered for the kindness & devotion he demonstrated throughout his life to those he loved & the lasting friendships he built. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit & the cherished memories he created will continue to bring comfort to those he leaves behind.
Proceeding him in death are his parents Ben & Clara, & his former wife Linda Huber.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 1:30 pm in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria.
