

He was born Nov. 7, 1932 in Iuka, Miss. to Raymond and Inez (Moser) Flynt. He married Clarice Levine Sep. 25, 1955 in Peoria. She passed away Aug. 27, 2014 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by one brother Robert Flynt.
Survivors include two daughters: Mary (Michael) Davis of East Peoria, Linda (Stephen) Davis of Little America, six grandchildren: Jason, Crystal, Tony, Stephanie, Chris, Tiffany, fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters: Martha White of Cold Water, Miss., Barbara (Ellett) Allen of Iuka, Miss., and one brother, James (Julee) Flynt of Iuka, Miss.
Bill was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Caterpillar, Inc. for 30 years retiring in the late 1980’s. He was a past commander and lifetime member of the Peoria Heights VFW Post 2602, member of the Korean War Veterans Chapter # 243, member and former Seam Squirrel of the Military Order of Cooties.He was also member of the Grandview Blue Lodge Masons, Abbas Grotto, Mohammed Temple Motor Corps, and the Scottish Rites.
Bill was of the Methodist Faith. He still liked to sing and dance and enjoyed spending time with his family and deeply missed his “honey bunny”. Funeral services with Military Rites will be Saturday Jan. 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services.
