Geraldine Anne Fekula of Nuevo, CA passed away peacefully in her home on 10/16/2022. She was a homemaker and devoted Navy wife. She traveled the country and world with her husband and lived in Saudi Arabia for several years. Geri was a devout Catholic, volunteering for years for the food bank at St. Christopher Catholic Parish in Moreno Valley, CA. She was a wonderful mother who loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and fiercely. She is survived by the love of her life, her devoted husband of 68 years, Captain (ret) Theodore V. Fekula. They met on a blind date at the Naval Academy in 1952 and were loving companions for over 70 years. She was predeceased by her son John Fekula, her grandson William Kelleher and her parents, James Kloiber and Geraldine Hess, as well as her brother James Kloiber and her sister Carol Jamke. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Katherine Ann Gotcher (Darrell) of Richardson, TX, Carol Fekula Kelleher (John) of Cranberry Twp, PA, and Michael Joseph Fekula of Nuevo, CA, her grandchildren Michael Joseph Fekula Jr., Kevan (Lauren) Kelleher, Jack Kelleher, and Kara Anne Gotcher, and a great granddaughter, Audrey Fekula. She is also survived by her brother, Joseph Kloiber (Diane), and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Geri’s family and friends are grateful for the gift of her 91 years of kindness, beauty, intelligence and love.
