Leonard George was born on July 21, 1929 in Texarkana, Arkansas to the proud parents, O.D. George and Mattie George. He was 19 years old when the family moved to Stockton California. He married his first wife Willie Mae Burns and they had three children, Donnie Ray George, Helen George and Shirley Jean George. They divorced and he relocated to Los Angeles California where he met Lillian Lawson they married in 1963 and to that Union she brought two children Patricia Ann Ramsey and John L. Lawson Jr. In 1973 they were blessed with a daughter Doylisa Michelle George. Whether with a fishing pole in hand or simply sitting outside watching the world go by. he treasured the slower moments in life. On Friday June 27, 2025 Leonard was called home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Lillian George and two daughters Helen George and Shirley Jean George. Leonard leaves to cherish his memory, his children Donnie Ray George, Doylisa Michelle Payne, His step children Patricia Ann Ramsey, John L Lawson JR and many Grandchildren and great Grandchildren who brought him endless Joy along with a wide circle of family and friends who loved him dearly.
