Margaret Ruth Dalfior Zimmer

Margaret (Bowers) Dalfior-Zimmer, born on September 23, 1927, in Lenoir City, TN, peacefully departed this earthly realm on August 28th, 2023, just weeks before her 96th birthday. Surrounded by the comfort of her loved ones in her Norco, CA home, Margaret has now found eternal solace in the embrace of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Margaret’s journey was preceded by her loving parents, James Bowers and Lillie Smith Bowers, as well as her dear siblings: Edith Snider Johnson, Clarence Johnson, Robert Lee Bowers, Ruby, and Prudy Bowers, and James Earnest Bowers. She now joins her beloved husbands, Tom Victor Dalfior, with whom she shared 61 years of unwavering love, and Marshall Zimmer, her partner of 12 years.

Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love in the hearts of her surviving children, James Victor Dalfior, Michael Gene Dalfior (and his devoted wife Joyce), and Janice Marie Scott. Affectionately known as “Nana Num-Nums,” Margaret’s warm spirit lives on through her seven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren, in addition to numerous nieces and nephews. Her presence was a beacon of light, cherished not only by her family but also by her church family and an abundance of friends.

Margaret’s zest for life found expression in her active lifestyle, her devotion to reading her Bible, sharing heartfelt meals with loved ones, and her active involvement in every church she attended. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends and family are cordially invited to join in the Celebration of Life service for Margaret, which will take place at 10 am on Saturday, September 16th, at Turning Point Church, located at 2000 Norco Drive, Norco, CA 92860. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will be held at Pierce Brothers Crest Lawn Memorial Park and Mortuary, situated at 11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505.

In honoring Margaret’s life, let us find comfort in the knowledge that she now rests in eternal peace, reunited with loved ones gone before, and basking in the everlasting love of her Savior.
