Ruth Irene Parsley Powell

Ruth I. (Parsley) Powell, 86, of Lancaster, Ohio passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at The Pickering House in Lancaster, Ohio. She was born in Marbone, WV on June 25, 1925 to John and Mae (Darnell) Parsley.

Ruth was the loving wife of the Late Russell Elliott Powell and is survived by her four sons: Terry J. Powell, Jerry L. Powell, Russell E. (Cathy) Powell, Jr., and Bruce E. Powell; Eight Grandchildren; Fourteen Great-Grandchildren; and siblings, Thelma Brown, Pauline Crawford, Elbert Fitzpatrick, Clyde Fitzpatrick, Douglas Fitzpatrick, Phyllis Messer, Edra Newsome and Todd Fitzpatrick. She was preceded in death by her father, John Parsley; mother, Mae Parsley-Fitzpatrick; siblings, John Parsley, Elaine Lewis, Roy and Emery Fitzpatrick.

A Memorial Service was held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Lancaster, Ohio. Private burial will be in Orlando, Florida. Arrangements under the direction of Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg, Ohio.
