He could often be seen around town enjoying a coffee with family and friends. He was an avid gardener and would spend hours in his backyard. Enjoyed watching all sports on TV and British Humour. He was always up for a game of Euchre. Alex was a Jack-of-all Trades. We are especially grateful for the compassionate care from the many staff members of Westview 4, Fairhaven Home. Online condolences may be made at www.comstockkaye.com “Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don’t remember me at all.” Laura Ingalls Wilder A good gardener prepares the land for the garden carefully. He sows the seeds of love and watches as the garden grows. Selflessly he tends his plants and flowers, giving them all the nurturing he can. He smiles when he sees his flowers grow tall and beautiful and multiply. There is nothing he would rather do than sit in his garden, content that he has done his best to make it a beautiful place for all to see.

Alex & I were co-workers at Milltronics & Siemens. I have known Alex for over 46 years and had the privilege of being his supervisor for 5 of those years. Alex was dedicated to his family & friends and you could always count on him when things got busy & he always worked to get the job done. I remember him as an honest, dedicated, hard working individual who made it easy to call him your friend. At times he was also a mentor to those of us new to the job and needed guidance. Sadly I hadn't been in contact with Alex & Catherine for a number of years & regret not making the effort to visit them. My condolences to Catherine & the Reader family for the loss of their husband & father.
