Dear Sherrill, 
I’m so sorry to see this, David was just always there.  I hoped to do another cruise with you both and I have such fond memories of the cruise we did take with Mum.   I always think of him up running around the deck in his 80’s, he was amazing.

David and Sherrill introduced Mary Ann and I to our first sea voyage. What guides they were. What friends. What memories.
I will remember for all my remaining days David’s passions for science, things mechanical and problem solving. Oh and let’s not for get his wonderful smile.
David has left us all with a host of memories and I trust that they will bring much  comfort to you Sherrill in the future.  I’m very sorry for your loss Sherrill. It’s hard to find words that bring comfort but be assured that your many many friends love you

David was my cousin and a sort of older brother for a time, when as a young child, I stayed with his family in Montreal. Conversations with him were always interesting. His laugh was infectious, a sort of rolling chuckle that brought smiles all around. He will be remembered with warmth. From all of us at Kushaqua Island: Our condolences and our thanks for many good memories.

Great times we had Cruising together starting with French Polynesia in 2008.

Carey and I met David the year we moved next door to the Smith Family on Highgate Street in Dollard des Ormeaux.  We have fond memories of bridge playing, open houses and other parties.  Our friendship continued when they moved a year after us to Ontario.  And so did the bridge playing, open houses, etc.  Our visits to Peterborough and Stoney Lake also solidified the  60+ friendship.  We witnessed our children and grandchildren growing up and helped celebrate weddings and other significant holidays. Our sincerest condolences are extended to the entire family. We share your loss.
