It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Allyson Lucas on February 20, 2026. She was born in Sioux Lookout, Ontario on July 15, 1961 and was the youngest child of Irene Ashenden and the late Charles Lucas. She will be sadly missed by her dear Maman, sister Judy, brother David, sister-in-law Vivian, her nieces and nephews and many other family members, as well as colleagues, clients and friends.
Allyson was known for her deep faith in God, her open and loving heart and warm smile. She was loved and well respected and known for her willingness to welcome people from everywhere into her life, her great sense of humour and her love for swimming in the lake. If you were a family member or friend of Allyson, you were a friend for life and always in her thoughts and prayers.
She was a Registered Psychotherapist with her own business NorthStar Counselling Services in Peterborough. Allyson received her post secondary education at Houghton University in Houghton, New York, and Tyndale University in Toronto, Ontario. She was a bit of a nomad and had lived in Kenora, Scarborough, Houghton, Washington DC, Richmond Hill, North Bay, Calgary, Edmonton, Sioux Lookout and finally in Peterborough. We are comforted to know that she is now resting in her heavenly home.
