Anne-Marie Ramsden

RAMSDEN, Anne-Marie – Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Richard Ramsden (2008). Cherished mother of Ken (Pam), David, and Elizabeth (Peter). Grandmother of Chas (Sarah) & Sam, great grandmother of Teah & Jacqueline. Predeceased by her dear sister Betty Jeffs. Anne-Marie had an ageless spirit and enduring energy that will stay with us forever. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and quick wit. She was an avid reader, passionate supporter of the arts, talented artist, enthusiastic tennis player, and keen cross-country skier, with a great love of animals and nature. As a young woman she was a Girl Guide leader and taught public school. Later, she was active in Community Concerts, the Peterborough Theatre Guild, and the Art Gallery of Peterborough. A member of the Millbrook Historical Society, she was a contributing author of “This Green and Pleasant Land – A Chronicle of Cavan Township.” Thank you to all those at Centennial Place, Millbrook, who cared for her with such kindness in her later years. Friends are invited to call at the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’ 539 George Street, N. on Saturday, March 29th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. followed by a Service of Remembrance at 2:00 p.m. There will be a reception following the service. Donations to the Amnesty International or The Donkey Sanctuary would be greatly appreciated in lieu of flowers.
