(Born January 26, 1931, Dumbarton, Scotland)
Peacefully surrounded by his family at Hospice Peterborough on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in his 91st year. Beloved husband to the late Beverley (nee Littlefair) Campbell. Dear father of Mark Campbell and Laurie Campbell-Leveck (Michael). Loving grandfather to Courtney, Nicole and Paris. Poppa to his great grandchildren Dane Balfour, Pearce, Dylan, Nev and extended families. Lovingly remembered by his brother Bill (Pamela), sister Kitty Jackson (the late Douglas), nieces and nephews in Scotland. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth (nee Horsburgh) Campbell, sisters Betty (David) Lindsay and Isabel (Jim) Philip and nephew Colin. Dear friend and business partners (C & T Tool & Machine), William (Betty) Tannock.
Balfour was a Masonic brother of the Royal Arthur Lodge, a Piper with the Hastings, Prince Edward Regiment – Hasty P’s, Lindsay Pipes and Drums, the Sarasota Pipe Band, Florida and a member of Keene United Church. He will be fondly remembered by the Littlefair family and all his dear friends in Peterborough, Keene, Florida and Scotland, especially Tom Christie and Michelle Fowler. Always a gentleman, Balfour was independent, successful, kind and loving. He lived by his faith, proud of his Scottish background, enjoyed the game of golf and always put his family and his love for Beverley first. To live such a good and full life, we cannot ask God for more. A special thank you for the wonderful care at Hospice Peterborough, PRHC, Dr. Meade and Dr. Wheeler. In memory of Balfour, donations to Hospice Peterborough, Keene United Church or Shriners Hospitals for Children would be appreciated by the family.
