Barbara Edith Meiklejohn Barrett

Barbara passed away peacefully on May 12, 2016 in her 95th year at her home, Riverview Manor, where she was cared for and loved for many years. She was predeceased by her husband Patrick Barrett and her parents Stuart Meiklejohn and Mary Clute. Barbara was the oldest sister of six. Predeceased by her brother Paul and his wife Joyce of South Carolina, brother Douglas of Indian River, brother Andrew of Peterborough and sister Beth Bedard and her husband Fred of Peterborough. She is survived by her brother Robert and his wife Phyllis of Toronto and sister-in-laws Sheila of Indian River and Jean of Peterborough. Barbara also left behind several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to the KAYE FUNERAL HOME ‘MEMORIAL CHAPEL’, 539 George Street North, on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service immediately following. Interment Upper Keene Cemetery.

As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
