Beverley Marie Buckham

BUCKHAM, Beverley Marie (née Dawson)
Peacefully, on Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 in her 86th year at Fairhaven Home Peterborough. Beloved wife of the late Harold Buckham for 62 years. Loving mother of Susan Dunbar (William) of Peterborough and David Buckham (Nancy) of Burlington. Proud grandmother of Meghan (Nick), Sara (Justin) and Hayley (Peter). Cherished daughter of the late Herbert Dawson and the late Grace Dawson (née Greer). Dear sister-in-law of the late William Buckham and his late wife Eleanor of Peterborough, late John Buckham and his late wife Joyce of New Liskeard and the late Mary Patton (née Buckham) and husband the late Ken Patton. Will be sadly missed, by many nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and an abundance of good friends. “Beverley Marie”, as Harold called her often, was a colourful and vibrant being with a mischievous love for fun. With a quick wit, bold sense of humour and big heart. Beverley brought laughter and kindness to all that knew her. Her favourite hobbies were shopping and more shopping. She will be remembered for her inspiring resiliency towards life’s bumps in the road and finding happiness and humour regardless. Online condolences may be made at www.comstockkaye.com.

Though many years have passed (far too quickly). We will always remember how welcoming Bev and Harold were whenever we visited the farm. They will always be remembered as two of the kindest people we have known.
Hopefully Bev's passing was a peaceful one.
Our deepest condolences to Dave, Nancy and the entire family.

Susan and David your Mum and Dad were two of our favourite people didn’t matter when we popped in we were made to feel so very welcome- Bev and Harold when I was first being introduced to them by Romeyn said they would come after church that way they could have a good visit I can remember like it was yesterday we never stopped laughing and I knew we would become great friends and we did. Bev and Harold were kind generous outrageously funny and great neighbours - we will never forget either of them such great friends Christine and Romeyn

It was always a pleasure to see Bev & Harold. Whether it be at the farm helping with hay, at a Bailieboro event, or house gathering that the "gang" always had on the go, or even going out for lunch with Harold when he was running "errands" in town.
A wonderful couple in every way.

Susan, David and Families.
We were so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I will never forget the day she told me that I was her namesake (we were picking pussy willows at the Wood Duck when I was about 10 years old) and that my name was spelled correctly.
Both your Mom and Dad were always such fun to be around and had a kind word and smile for everyone. She will be missed but I know that they are happy to be re-united with each other.

Bev was well loved by her northern niece and nephews!
We admired so much her dedication to the long and loving relationship she had with dear Uncle Harold, the supportive working partnership she had with him on the South Monaghan farm, her children and grandchildren, to her beloved South Monaghan and church communities, and for always finding the positive and fun side to life.
She always took a great interest in us and our families, finding ways to make us laugh, treating us like peers and making us feel thoroughly at home with her. We loved her big hearted and positive spirit, her giggles and that mischievous twinkle in her eye. She was indeed a special lady.
We will miss her but we take comfort knowing she is back with the love of her life.
Our thoughts are with Sue, Bill, Dave, Nancy and the girls.

Our family lived in the city. We came to Peterborough only a few times each year. Aunt Bev always made a special effort to talk to me during family events. Meant the world to me. Her kindness and laugh will be missed.

Our sincere sympathy goes out to Susan and Bill, David, Nancy and their family.
Bev was a beautiful woman inside and out - kind, generous, full of fun and historian extraordinaire.
Her door was always open welcoming family and friends - the hostess with the mostest! Bev always made the good times better.
She and Harold were role models for decades to so many couples in their South Monaghan community and church family. To know them was to love them.
We miss you already Dear Lady - enjoy your well-earned angel wings.

Harold and Bev were the first people to welcome us when we moved into the area, and from that day on they welcomed us into their lives and home with open arms. We will never forget their kindness or the many stories they told us over the years.
