C. Bernadette Carr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bernadette Carr in Ottawa on Friday, January 28, 2022, at the age of 87. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, John Patrick Carr, who passed away in 2018. Loving mother of Douglas Carr (Catherine Jessup), Elizabeth Heath (Bernard), Daniel Carr (Joanna Scales), and Jacqueline Ridyard (Paul). Cherished grandmother to Liam, Evan, Nicholas, Jason, Annabel, Katie, Emily, Breanne, Jared and Kylen, and great-grandmother to Jaydan and Rowan. She is survived by her sister Angela (Bert), and is predeceased by her siblings Aubrey (Catherine), Ed (Gloria), Geraldine (Jack), Helen (Leo), Bill (Ethel), Vincent (Joan), and Margaret Ann (Warren). Bernadette’s younger brother Clark (Shirley) passed away on March 6, 2022. Retired after a long and successful career in Peterborough as a Catholic elementary school teacher, Bernadette is now where she is happiest, next to her soulmate John in heaven. Friends will be received at the COMSTOCK-KAYE LIFE CELEBRATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 12:00 pm. to 1:00 pm. Funeral Mass to be held at the CATHEDRAL OF ST.
