Carole Wallace Parnell Blewett

Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, August 6th 2025, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife and soul mate of the late Gene Blewett for 54 years and loving mother to Randy (Tara), Scott (Alex), Todd (Jennifer), and Sue (Mike). Grandmother to Rachel, Andrew, Samuel, Emily, Aaron, Taylor, Wyatt, & Jaxon. Great grandmother to Evelyn. Sister of Linda Hendren, and the late Alan Parnell. Aunt to Kevin Parnell (Jenn). Carole was a graduate of PCVS (1959) and with her husband Gene they enjoyed the water their entire life. They owned and operated Blewett Marine Services on Chemong lake in Bridgenorth. Carole worked for F.W. Woolworth, Woolco, then Walmart and through hard work, rose to the position of Operations Manager at Head Office for Walmart Canada. She traveled extensively with Walmart all over Canada, United States, United Kingdom, Germany and Netherlands. Carole enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Barbados, Jamacia and Dominican Republic, and many States in the U.S. Upon her retirement in 2008 Carole and Gene loved traveling in their RV throughout Canada and United States forming many lasting friendships. Later, they permanently settled in the Lakefield Park for 25+ years. Special Thank you to the entire staff of Rubidge Hall Peterborough for their wonderful care and support, The Stroke Ward at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, and Toronto General Hospital. Carole appreciated all the staff for their professionalism and skill. If desired, donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Carole will be remembered by many relatives and friends. At Caroles request, aquamation, followed by a private family service will be held.
