Gordon, Catherine Margaret (nee Tees) – At Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, April 14, 2014 in her 96th year. Wife of the late David M. Gordon. Cherished Mother of Bethanne (Ray) Kampus of Richmond Hill,Greg Gordon (Marlene) of Cavan. Grandmother of Aaron, Janene, Julia and Jeffrey (Frances). Great grandmother of Ian Kampus of Moosejaw. Also in fond relation to surviving brother Ivan Tees (Cecile) of Brampton and the late Malcolm (Marilyn) Tees of Minto NB, also Doug Kettles of Sault Ste. Marie and many beloved nieces and nephews in locations spanning the globe. A Graduate of Ontario Ladies College (Trafalgar-Whitby) Recipient of Degrees in music, and teaching at The Royal Conservatory of Music (U of T). (A Former President of the alumni association, and also a Piano teacher at her Downsview home, as well: performance credits that included public recital at Toronto’s Massey Hall). For many years a teacher with Seneca College/Suzuki music techniques, a lover and supporter of the Arts. Brought up in Christ, living the principles; foundation formed early on, as a member of Knox United Church in Agincourt. Catherine, having lost her mother at age 11, grew up in times of uncertainty that included a warm family inclusion and loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins on both sides of her family (Paterson/Tees) and in particular, roots that were centralized, by the efforts of many, who homesteaded from Scotland to Agincourt in the 1800’s. This historic connection, and relationships are to this day, the bedrock of who she was, to everyone who knew her. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street in Peterborough. Memorial Celebration of her life is planned for June, 2014 at Knox United Church in Agincount. Expression of Remembrance appreciated in lieu of flowers to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.
