Passed away peacefully with family at her side, at Extendicare Peterborough, on Saturday, January 5, 2013, 10 days after celebrating her 80th birthday. Beloved daughter of the late Harold and Muriel Dawson. Dear sister of Walter (Muriel), Allan (Margaret) and the late Arthur (Barbara). Cherished aunt of Laurie (John), Kathy, John, Andrew (Julie), Scott (Christy), Janet (Kevin), Jan (Spence)and Joe (Niki); and great aunt of 11. Colleen suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years and was fiercely independent in her struggle to maintain her lifestyle. Colleen’s family would like to thank all of the staff at the numerous long term care facilities especially Extendicare Peterborough for all of the care and compassion shown to Colleen.
