Dorothy Lorraine Thornhill Parker

Dorothy Lorraine Parker (nee Thornhill) - Retired secretary for Imperial Life, Toronto. Born in Brockville, lived in Smiths Falls, Toronto, Scarborough and retired to the shores of Big Bald Lake, Buckhorn, where she lived a many quiet, happy years with John. Died peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, at 79 years of age. Dorothy was the beloved wife of John Hansen for 35 years, and the late Frank Grant Parker. Loving mother of Ken Parker (Debbie) of Oakville, and Karen Parker Green (James) of Creemore. Dear grandmother of Melissa, Andrew, Kevin, Madeline, Mason and Veronica. Dear older and firstborn sister of Denny, Richard, William, Robert, Sidney and Paul Thornhill. Dear stepmother and grandmother to Debbie Hansen and Emily, Matthew and Christopher. She will also be remembered by many other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge St., on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at 3:00 pm with visiting one hour prior (2-3 pm). A reception will be held following the funeral, at Comstocks, in the Heritage Room. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
