YOUNG, Dorothy Marie Deborah (Pollock) WWII Vet. Sergeant, Nursing Corps. – Passed peacefully, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Tuesday June 6, 2017. Dorothy of Peterborough, formerly of Thornhill, in her 96th year. Beloved wife of Leonard Young for 47 years. Loving mother of Ian (Christine) and Ron (Susan). Dear grandmother of Tanya, Noel, Justin, Ilo, Morgan and the late Lindsay. Great grandmother of Nolan and Nicole. Dear sister of Charles Pollock (Paulette), and the late Jean Poole (late Albert) and Florence Pollock. Dorothy will be remembered by many other relatives and friends. A longtime member of the Peterborough Legion (Branch #52). A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME, 840 Armour Road, on Saturday, June 10th, and will begin with a Legion Service at 12 pm (noon) with visiting one hour prior (11am-12 pm).
