Peacefully at Fairhaven Long Term Care Facility on Saturday, February 21, 2026, in his 96th year. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lucille Julia Jean Brunt, his brother, Roy Brunt, sister, Lillian Martin (H. Reginald Martin) and nephews Jim and Glenn Brunt. Sadly missed by his sister-in-law, Nellie Brunt. Lovingly remembered by his nieces Susan Robinson (Steven), Lori Martin, Lucy Dawson (Peter), great-nephews Matthew and Joshua Robinson and great-niece, Kate Dawson. Doug was a devoted husband to Lucille and moved into Fairhaven with her in 2017 when he could no longer take care of her at home by himself. He was a lithographer before his retirement. A private family interment was held March 3, 2026 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough where he was laid to rest with his beloved Lucille. Very special thanks to the absolutely incredible staff at Fairhaven Long Term Care Facility for their exceptional and devoted care of Doug over the past nine years.
