Avid tennis player and curler in Toronto and Sarnia. – Peacefully at his home in Rubidge Retirement Residence, Peterborough, on Saturday, June 2nd, 2012, in his 90th year. Doug was the beloved husband of Norma Legate and the late Mae Heartz (1979). Loving father of Jane Bingham (husband Dave), and the late Lynn Pedersen (surviving husband Norm). Step-father of Leslie Legate. Dear grandfather of Shane Pedersen. Doug will be remembered by many friends and colleagues in Toronto, Sarnia and around the world.
