Peacefully, at Fairhaven Long Term Care, on Thursday, August 6, 2015 in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Beryl (nee Edwardson) (2005) for 64 years. Loving Dad of Douglas (Lynda), Peter (Deb) and Linda. Grandad of Stephen, Paula, Jackie & Matt; great-Grandad of Rachel, Evan, Madison & Colby. Doug was a predeceased by his sister and her husband Joane & Jim Lauder and his brother Brian; survived by his sister-in-law Grace. Doug still has many family members in England. Doug was a WW II Veteran having served in the R.A.F.. He and Beryl had been members of Skyline Park in Ennismore for over 40 years. Doug retired in 1984 from International Harvester as a longtime employee. In keeping with Doug’s wishes there will be visitation from 4-7 pm on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street.
