VINETTE, Earla Edith (nee Patterson) February 3, 1916 – February 9, 2011 – An energetic adventurer who was up for any challenge. Loved cribbage & trips to the casino. Loved quilting, crochet, knitting and all kinds of hand crafts. Excellent cake decorator, gardener, outdoor chef and frog hunter. Loved to travel the world. Avid bowler, Lakeview Bowling Club and member of Peterborough Lawn Bowling Association. – Peacefully, at Rubidge Retirement Residence, with her family at her side, on Wednesday, in her 96th year. Earla was the beloved wife of the late Albert Robert Vinette (1986). Loving & devoted mother of Roberta “Bobbi” & Murray Wilson, Judy Vinette, and Karen Gay & Robert Dungan. Dear grandmother of Karen & John Adams, Michelle & Randy Horton, Heather Wilson, Michael Dungan & Jennifer Dungan. Proud “GG” of Hannah & Paige, and Abbie & Zachary. Dear sister of Helen, Verna, Audrey, Ted, Doug and the late Ken. She will also be missed by many relatives and friends. A funeral service will be held at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at 1 pm with visiting two hours prior, from 11 am to 1 pm.
