In Peterborough. After a long illness, Ted passed away peacefully at home on December 13, in his ninetieth year. Survived by his wife and beloved companion of fifty-one years, Margaret, their three children, Kathleen, Ted (Jacquie) and Margaret (Lawrence Ebisuzaki), five grandchildren: Bryan and Heather Mackay, Will, Julia and Greg Ebisuzaki-Mackay, and by his sister Margaret Gibson of Kingston. Ted was born in Brockville and grew up in Kingston and Ottawa. He interrupted his studies in 1942 for service as an army radar technician. After graduation, he joined Ontario Hydro in Toronto in the System Planning Department, retiring as manager of Regional Supply Planning in 1985. He and his family moved to Nigeria from 1971 to 1975 and later to Ghana and Kenya, making many close friendships wherever they went. Ted loved the cottage at Six Mile Lake and was an enthusiastic tennis player. He and Margaret shared a passion for travel, bridge and golf, through which they made many dear friends. They retired to Peterborough in 1992, where he became involved with the Peterborough Golf & Country Club, the Fortnightly Club, Probus and the Peterborough Hospital Archives. Visitation will be held at the COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, on Sunday, December 18, from 2-5 pm.
