BURDEN, Evelyn Dorothy (nee Elliott) – Passed away peacefully on January 18, 2015 at Springdale Country Manor, Peterborough, Ontario in her 91st year. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Ernest. She is survived by her sons Elliott (Donna) and Lorne (Suzanne), grandchildren Donald, Michael, Jake and Aaron. She was the dear sister of Stan, Frank and Faye. Though Dorothy was born in New York City, she spent the greater part of her early life in Cooks Harbour, Newfoundland. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m with visitation one hour prior to service from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, Ontario, 705 745-4683. Later this summer she will be laid-to-rest alongside her beloved Ernest amidst the partridge berries and bake apples.
