Evelyn Fair Weir

Passed away on October 21, 2010 in London, Ontario, in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Arthur Weir (2008). Loving mother of Douglas (Connie) of London, Ontario and David (Theresa) of Lakefield. Dear grandmother of Tara (Ram), Andrew, Lucas (Claire) and Lea (Graham) and great-grandmother of Benjamin, Lily, Rachel and Finnigan. Evelyn grew up in Sunderland, Ontario, but moved to Omemee when she married Art. For the next 60+ years, Ev’s life in Omemee revolved around her husband and her family. She was involved for many years in the Trinity United Church choir and the UCW. She also enjoyed knitting and a variety of needlework crafts. She and Art spent 2 ½ years in a retirement residence in Peterborough, but after Art’s passing, Ev moved into Marian Villa in London. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at 11AM, at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME in Peterborough, Ontario, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Omemee Emily Cemetery following the service.
