Mrs. Evelynne Marie Bartlett Little

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Peterborough on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Hector Little (May 4, 2010); loving mother of Douglas Little (Teresa) and Heather Hiscox (Doug). Cherished grandmother to Lisa, Megan, Cassandra-Jo and Ashton. Evelynne was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Historic Chapter #194 (Grimsby #195), serving as Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Ontario (1965-1966 – Golden Harvest). She served as Grand Secretary from 1966-1975. From 1976-1979, she was appointed Worthy Grand Marshal to the General Grand Chapter “Sunrise-Sunset” Triennial Sessions hosted in Toronto. More recently, Evelynne served as a member of the Peterborough Chapter #161, OES and as a member of Oronto Temple #69, Daughters of the Nile. Visitation will begin at 10:45 am followed by an OES Service at 11:00 am then a memorial service at 11:15 am on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, (705) 745-4683. Interment will follow at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations to St. Giles Presbyterian Church or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
