Frances Agnes Killen

(born May 22, 1939 in Kearney, Ontario)

Frances was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who left this world peacefully with her loving husband and children by her side on March 10, 2022 at the age of 82, after a brief illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

Beloved wife of Eugene ‘Gene’ Killen for 61 years, having been married July 16, 1960.

Loving and caring mother to Bonnie Knox (Derri) and family Gregory (Caitlin), Michael (Jackie), and Andrew; Barry Killen (Lisa) and family Jenna (Dylan), Zach (Sydney), and Paige; Sandra Carter (Paul) and family Michael; Robert Killen (Michele) and family Tanner (Emily) and Conner. Dear Sister "soeur" of Laverne Mullaley (Doug predeceased) and Claudette Kemp (Randy). Close cousin and family member of Chris Bouchard (Marilyn). Proud great-grandma of Daisy. Predeceased by her parents Frank and Malvina Duggan. Pet mom to a very special cat, Abby, whom Mom loved dearly.

Mom always provided love and support for her family. Family and Faith were most important to her. She and her husband Gene worked tirelessly for their kids. Family gatherings at the Coon Lake cottage was where you would find Mom looking after everyone's needs.

While Frances' family deeply grieves their loss, they are choosing to remember Frances in a way that honours her Spirit. The Killen family invite family and friends to join them in a Celebration of Life Mass at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough, on Monday, March 14, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. where Mom was a parishoner for 60 years.
