

Peacefully, with dignity December 11, 2010, in her 90th year, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in the presence of family. Lenore, was a loving wife of “Bud” (Walter John) Rapson for close to 67 years (Dec 30, 1943). She will be fondly remembered and forever loved by family and friends, daughter Lynda (Nick), John (Anne), Bob (Shirlene), Brian (Carolyn), Peter (Marianne) and Fred (Yvonne). Lenore will be sadly missed by twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Lenore was born and educated in Toronto and had a passion for music, golf, bridge and volunteering with the Big Sisters Association of Ontario. Her musical endeavours included the formation and conductor of the Sunday Youth Orchestra, more than eighty members strong; they performed at Expo 67 and toured Europe in 1969. Public service awards included the founding of a junior orchestra at Blythwood Public School and conductor of Bedford Park Public School in Toronto. Many thanks to the compassionate staff and caregivers at Sunrise of Aurora, Careable, Home Instead Senior Care, Princess Gardens and Peterborough Regional Health Centre. A celebration of Lenore’s life will be held at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, Ontario Wednesday, December 15th at 1:00 pm. Visitation two hours prior. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
