Peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday, August 25, 2018 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Dorothy (née Walsh) and the late Leone (neé McColl). Loving father of Paul (Maria), Ann-Marie (Bill), Brian (Deborah), Danny (Denise) and Bruce. Proud grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Jimmy (Carolyn ), Jerry (Marlene), and Helen Kumpf. Predeceased by brothers Jack and Peter and sister Margaret Laplante. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Stepfather of 2 sons Mike and Brad Plewes and step-grandfather of 4.

In keeping with Fred’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held at ST. ALPHONSUS LIGUORI CHURCH, 1066 Western Avenue, on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the parish hall. In honour of Fred, donations to P.R.H.C. Palliative Care, Homecare or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by his family. Special thank you to the staff and doctors of Palliative care for their kindness and care.
