Thoughts of you on this Father’s Day June 19, 2022.  As I sit here in Tampa’s airport,  I’m thinking of the airplane’s wings that carry between our homes in search of putting you to Rest In Peace. My only consoling though is that you’re carried by the wings of angles while watching over me   And if heaven wasn’t so far away you would be here with your children on this Father’s Day😇 ❤️ Always and forevermore.  D 

Gary (GMAC as we called him) was a colleague and friend and will be dearly missed. During the time I got to know him a few things became evident about Gary; he was passionate about his career and had a never-ending thirst for knowledge, he enjoyed life and had many interesting hobbies, but above all else he was connected with people and loved his family & friends.

Gary was a dear colleague at MPI. He was very passionate about his work and never held back when we needed his help.  I am sad I didn't know him at a personal level and I will miss his colleagueship. Gary, you will be missed. My  deepest sympathies to Debra and the family.

Gary was a dear friend, drinking buddy, colleague, and mentor to me and to many others. He was passionate about his work and lived life to its fullest. I will miss Gary’s  regular 6am phone calls to chat about just about anything and  everything. You will be sorely missed my friend.

I knew Gray from a very young age and now to see him gone sadden me.  I always told myself that I would want to be like Gary because he loved what he did as a person. He was a very hard worker and a loving husband to his wife and kids. I don't have many memories with Gary but I remember one great memory that I will remember for the rest of my life. I remember when Gary picked me up from Toronto because I was going to visit his house. Throughout the whole ride we were just talking about life and he was telling me that whatever I want to do as a career to make sure it was something I loved. Gary inspired to me do better because I wanted to succeed in my career just like he was and he always would ask me how I was doing in my studies just to make sure it was going well. I'll miss Gary and I'm sad to see him gone.

Gary rest easy. I will always know how you looked out for auntie and me. I now have the job to watch out for Debbie and Allie.  You got my promise on that. But on the funny side I was playing with the Globe you brought from Canada to the States just because I love maps. I can vision you carrying this globe 🌎 throughout security and the airports just made me laugh and laugh. I never got to say thank you in person. So Thank You Sir, until we met again my friend. Although our interactions were brief, they were always pleasant and polite. I am saddened by the fact that I will never get to know Gary better, as I have only heard wonderful things about him. My heart goes out to his family, as they lost a father, a friend a husband, and an amazing human being. I am here for anyone who needs help on this long grief ridden road to recovery.💕

GMac you were a true gentleman and meeting you through work was a blessing. Your brilliance, willingness to teach and learn, sharing of family stories and sense of humour showed your strength of character and a character you were! I will miss your random phone calls to tell me a story or get my opinion, but more importantly I will miss you. Rest in peace my friend.

I used to call him Mr. Mackenzie…
I cannot believe you're gone.
I knew him for 15 years. He was a hardworking man, a Great father & husband also very caring to his friends and family.
Whenever I visited their home, I would always see him downstairs working hard on his computer. 
When he had spare time in between work, he would call me down and play Spanish songs on his stereo and ask me if I knew them and I would reply “of course I do Gary”. He loved his stereo with how loud it played music and he always made sure for nothing to happen to his stereo.
The very last time I talked to him and what we were talking about was that he wanted to travel to Ecuador with his family.
I was already going, and he didn’t want me to go yet because of the covid-19 rates being high down over there.
Gary you were such a good friend and you will be truly missed ..

I have had the pleasure, as have many, meeting Gary through work and becoming friends.  He had taken me under his wing and taught me a great deal.  I will miss the early morning phone calls, the conversations/debates about world events, sports, and music.  His passion and dedication to his work is amazing and infectious and the same can be said for his friendship.

Gary loved his Harley's and my son and I were fortunate to get out with Gary, Debbie and the family during Canada Day Weekend almost 10 years ago.  Gary let me ride the beast that day and I took this picture while behind them at a red light.

Gary was an amazing man. There are so many things I would like to put here but what is most memorable for me was his consistency when it came to cheering me up. Whenever I was upset Gary would always be quick to take me out on adventures in the car. Showing me beautiful scenery all over the outskirts of Peterborough. He would know just what to say to help me and knew just the right rock songs to put on FULL blast. By the time we got out of the car I almost always forgot why I was ever upset in the first place. He was always the light I needed when I was down. I wouldn’t know where I would be or who I would be without Gary. He shaped me into the man I am today with tough love, life lessons, support and patience. He was father I needed and I am so very thankful for all the amazing times we had together. 

To my best friend, colleague and mentor.  The fire will always be burning bright for you here in Strathroy.  We will dearly miss our times with you in our home on many Friday nights after a long week.  You have been an inspiration to our family and many others over the many years we have spent together. My fondest memory of Gary is the four of us- Gary, Debbie, Winnie and I enjoying dinner and drinks outside one evening in the Distillery District. It was great fun.  Rest in peace my brother.

Gary was a true friend, mentor and more of a brother to me than my own brothers. A memory; he will come slug me in the gut, say wake up kingnapper, let’s go have a smoke. I miss him every day. He was a true friend. I miss his early morning calls, talking about music, the concert where we going to go to. There is a day that passes I don’t think about Gary. He was a good man, friend, husband, father, grandfather and everything agood person could be. Until we meet again old friend. Your memories I will always cherish. I miss you every single day Gary. 

If Debbie or Alastair ever need me for anything, I don’t care what it is, I am only a phone call away. I will master and become the person you wanted me to become. I am now working on Apache, my SQL and PHP. Thank you my good friend for everything. Both you and Debbie. We love and miss all you guys. I struggle to listen to music even to this day. My favorite memory of Gary is after knowing Gary via the phone for over a year, when we met in person for the first time.”he stated your nothing like I visioned you to be”. I said oh really cause, I was just thinking the same about you! There began a solid friendship. I will sincerely miss you my friend alway, I will keep you and your loved ones close to my heart. Forever your Boston buddy Irene. My deepest condolences to your family this sudden loss will be felt by many. 

Gary was one of the most brilliant individuals I've had the pleasure of calling a friend.  I feel very lucky to have worked with him all these years.  I personally learned a lot from him and I will miss his mentorship, knowledge, sense of humour and seemingly endless knowledge.  I'll also miss his fantastic expressions, which were always "the cat's meow".

You were a colleague, my mentor and most of all a great friend.  We shared many many laughs on projects, having drinks, and on the bikes around Ontario, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick.  So many memories. You are truly missed

Gary, I miss our early morning calls that started out business and ended up as friends. I loved how you always gave me credit for things you did but that was just you. I am sorry you never made it up here on your bike trip. You will be missed by everyone that knew you I'm sure.

My papa was a very successful and smart man. He accomplished so many great things. He was a hard worker, and always giving his grandkids great life advice. He inspires me to work hard in life and in my study's to accomplish and achieve my goals like he did.

Gary, it is so hard to believe you are gone. I miss your faithful calls at 7:00am. You were a brilliant Technical Architect, a great business partner, and an even better friend. Gary helped me get started on my own way back in 07. We did many projects together and shared a beer or two and even some nice single malts.  We always planned to ride together at some point but I only got my motorcycle last year so missed out on that,
