Peacefully at Rubidge Retirement Residence on July 6, 2021 at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Marie Louise (nee McGuire). Loving father of Anthony, Patrick (Marie), and Theresa (James). Adoring grandpa "Paka" of Brennan, Elly and Neve. Dear brother of John (Shirley), Rosemary (Bryan), Jim (Angie) and the late Larry Hales. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A tireless volunteer, Gerry gave his time and caring to the community working with many organizations over 50 years including, the Peterborough Theatre Guild, Kinsman Club, K40, Crimestoppers, Minor Hockey and driving for the Cancer Society. Gerry's family wish to thank the staff at Rubidge Retirement Residence and the Dialysis unit of PRHC for their kindness and care. A public Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 859 Barnardo Avenue, Peterborough. Those who wish to attend (there are a limited number of guests permitted) must register at https://signup.com/go/XrOPEvR Attendees must wear a mask and socially distance.
