

Husband and best friend of Gwen, father to Brad (Nancy), and Karen (Scott). Proud Papa to Christine (Jeremy), Jesse (Ashley), Chelsea, and great-papa to Nicholas. Brother to Heather (Richard Setka - deceased). Predeceased by his parents Dorothy (1997), Gord (2011), brother Wayne (1950), sister Paige (2020) and infant son Gregory (1964).
Glen began his career in advertising in 1959 at CKPC Radio in Brantford, ON as Traffic Manager. In 1970 he moved with his young family to Peterborough when he accepted a position with CHEX AM & FM Radio as Creative Director, where he worked until 1985 when he transferred to the television side of CHEX until his retirement in 1998.
Glen has always loved the theatre. He began working in community theatre in 1962 in Brantford, ON. He has also worked with theatres in Galt, Simcoe, Hamilton, Kitchener Waterloo and finally Peterborough with the Peterborough Theatre Guild, Kawartha Summer Theatre and Whispers Dinner Theatre. He held many hats while with the Peterborough Theatre Guild. Glen has been a Director, Actor, Make-up Artist and Sound Designer. He has also worked behind the scenes as a Member of the Board of Directors, and Property Manager.
He has won many awards for his involvement with community theatre. In 2019 he was inducted into the Peterborough Pathway of Fame for Dramatic Arts. Of all the awards he received for his work, he was most proud of this.
His family would like to thank Drs. Shim and Matheson for their guidance and support during Glen’s illness. They would also like to thank the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at PRHC. Finally, they would like to thank the staff at Hospice Peterborough for their kindness and gentle care of Glen.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Peterborough Theatre Guild, Hospice Peterborough, or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm with a Celebration of Glen’s Life on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:30pm, at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, ON, with a reception to follow at the Peterborough Theatre Guild, 364 Rogers Street, Peterborough, ON.
