Hazel Mary Jane Galvin Montgomery

March 19th 1932-March 24th 2022

Daughter of the late Hettie Doig and Harry Galvin, went to be with her beloved husband of 60 years Don (2010) on the evening of March 24th 2022. Mary passed peacefully with her daughters at her side on the Palliative Care unit of P.R.H.C. under the loving care of Dr. Webster.

Mary, who turned 90 on the 19th, will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Janice Copeland and Lorrie Fife (Bryon), her sister Hannah Bailey, 4 grandchildren, Kelly Johnston (Brendan), Christopher Copeland (Jennifer), Amanda Corke (Jeremy), and Julia Fife and 5 great-grandchildren Mikayla, Madelynn, Jacob, Lilah-Marie, and Ashton.

She will also be fondly remembered by her niece and nephew, Anne LaVoie (Andre), and Doug Bailey, great nieces Danielle and Michelle and the families of her late brothers Frank and Gordon, and late sister Marie.

Mary was a long-standing member of Murray Street Baptist Church, who loved teaching Sunday School and enjoyed various activities at the church.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Murray Street Baptist Church, 175 Murray Street, Peterborough on Saturday April the 2nd at 2 p.m., with visitation one hour prior.
