Lively, Heather Margaret (nee Hughey)

While surrounded by her loving family, Heather passed away peacefully at Hospice Peterborough on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 70. Loving and devoted wife of Gordon for over 50 years. Cherished mother of Randy (Lisa) and Kim (Liam). Loving Gramma to Brooke, Nick, Connor and Dillon. Dear sister to Ron (Susan) and sister in law to Debbie. Predeceased by her parents Ronald and Agnes and her brother John. Heather will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Heather was generous with her time volunteering with Kinettes and at the Legion. She was the organizer of many card games and dinners out with her long time friends. She loved her time in Florida playing golf and singing at the Tiki Hut at Three Lakes Park. Her smile and laugh lit up the room and her love will continue to be felt by all who knew her. In keeping with Heathers wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to these times the family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date. The family would like to thank all of Heathers doctors and nurses for their wonderful care. Donations to Hospice Peterborough or Ovarian Cancer Canada can be made in Heathers memory. Online condolences may be made at www.comstockkaye.com.

Mr. Lively, Kim, Liam, Connor, Dillon, Randy, Lisa, Brooke & Nick

I'm so saddened to hear of the passing of your wife, Mom and Grandma.
I remember Mrs. Lively so fondly with her warm smile. Every time I saw the Livelys' I was welcomed with big hugs. I have fond memories of the times I was invited up to the Lively trailer in Aspley with Kim as teenagers. They made you feel like you were part of their family.
After starting our own families, we spent many birthday parties together and it's easy to say that Mrs. Lively's grandchildren meant the world to her.
I hope that your cherished memories will help you through this difficult time.

Love always
Carrie & Kain

I was very sad by Heather's passing. I have only known Heather for a few years through our monthly card games but her warmth and kindness toward me made me feel that I had known her for many years. Heather had a wonderful personality and I am sure her family will miss her greatly. My sincere sympathy to her family at this difficult time.

I was lucky to meet Heather and Gord when we shared time in Smithville way back in the 70’s and 80’s. We all met through our children’s up bringing and the Kinsmen Club. Great people and such enthusiasm for life. They moved away and I lost touch with them for years and then at a happy hour in Florida at a RV Park named Three Lakes we met again. We had Extra years once again to share in their lives again Wonderful people and so much fun to be around. She was like a sister to me and we each had our chances to lean on each other. I will miss her so much but she will always be just a thought away in my mind. Our water aerobics, our golf experiences watching the best of the best play at Valspour in Florida. Our games especially Pictionary, high stakes Bingo at the Tiki and the karaoke singing. She loved people and life. She lived a full life. A lot shorter then any person close to her wanted to see but Heather did it her way and I applaud and toast her for her strength and courage to battle until the end. She did it her way and if there was any other way she would have taken another road she loved Gorden and her family so much and l am a better person for knowing her and sharing some of her time.

Gord, Randy, Lisa, Kim, Liam and so loved grandchildren Brooke, Nick, Connor and Dillon. So sorry for your lost. But having said that I feel we have all lost an amazing lady. From Mexico to Cuba to Jamaica and our so many day trips to the city, they where all full of life , laughter and love. We feel that we where not done living laughing or loving. We have the pictures of those days and we will keep them close to our hearths..she will be missed so very much.
