Mrs. Iefke Irene Marie Paul Heersink

After blessing her with 84 beautiful years of life, the Lord took His loving and faithful servant home on October 30, 2010. She passed away suddenly at home in the company of Gerrit, her loving husband of 53 years. She is the beloved mother of Roland and Elizabeth Heersink, John Heersink, and Paul Heersink and Laura Peetoom. She is sadly missed by her grandchildren Joel (Claudia), Brittney (Ron), Bianca, Briana, Maxwell, Samuel and Margaret and her great grandchildren Eric, Sebastian and Tim. She leaves behind her brother John and her sister Jenny and is predeceased by her sister Marie and her brother Dick. She will be remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews and her supportive church family. A memorial service will be held at CEPHAS CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 220 Goodfellow Road, Peterborough at 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 6, 2010. Visiting with family and friends will follow after the service in the church from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. Those who wish to commemorate Iefke through donations are asked to remember the Heart and Stroke Foundation. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:37-39).
