In memory of
Isabel M. Mortlock
December 27, 1910 – March 1, 2015
After a full and interesting life, Isabel passed away peacefully at Canterbury Gardens, Peterborough on March 1, in her 105th year. Isabel was born on the Graham family farm in Asphodel, daughter of the late Stuart and Margaret Graham (nee Hope). Isabel was predeceased by Walter, her cherished husband of 59 years. Survived by her sister Doreen Hooper, her brother Jack Graham and her sister-in-law Ruth Millard. Predeceased by her sister Jessie Mackie and her brother Bruce Graham. Proud mother of Jane Kitchen, Jack Mortlock (Meredith), Catherine Peer (Bruce) and Alex Mortlock (Jennifer). Loving grandmother of Adam, Ellen, Elisabeth, Charlotte, Jane, Jennifer, David, Kate, Victoria, Jessica and Christopher and great-grandmother of Hannah, Peter, Andrew, Noah, Bryan, Wyatt, Porter, Andrew, William and Isabel. Isabel taught in small rural schools in Peterborough County before her marriage to Walter and again, for several years after her children were grown. She travelled the globe with Walter, attending many Masonic events and enjoying many holidays with family and friends. We are saddened by our loss but grateful that she was with us for so many years. Respecting Mother’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
